Chat Mosaic

Turn an image or video into a colored Minecraft Bedrock chat animation. Nothing is uploaded—the browser reads the file, maps each pixel to the closest Bedrock chat color, and creates an importable Lumine settings file.

01 · Source

Choose your media

Images become one frame. Videos are sampled at the frame rate you choose.

Local

The selected file stays on this device. It is decoded with the browser's image/video APIs and is never sent to Lumine.

02 · Shape

Tune the chat canvas

The other dimension follows the source ratio automatically.

Calculated width

Chat rows / frame

Blank rows appended with me\n§ſ after each frame.

Default is 30 fps, matching the proxy's original chat animation timing.

/.

Use /.mosaic in Bedrock after importing the settings.

Bedrock palette matching

Every pixel is matched against the exact RGB foreground colors documented by the Minecraft Wiki, including Bedrock's material colors.

03 · Settings

Build an import file

Export alias-only settings, or append the generated alias stack to an existing Lumine settings JSON.

frames · estimated max

The tool refuses to start a conversion when its conservative output estimate is above the browser import budget.

A note about Bedrock compatibility

Chat Mosaic uses Bedrock's section-sign colors. The classic colors are joined by Bedrock material colors such as Minecoin Gold, Quartz, Emerald, Diamond, Amethyst, Resin, and Light Blue. Java Edition does not interpret every one of those codes the same way.
